Dr. Deepak Jakhar is an internationally acclaimed dermatologist. He has done his MD (Dermatology & STD) from the prestigious University College of Medical Sciences & Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital, New Delhi, India. During his MD, he won many awards at various scientific deliberations. He has received several prestigious international scholarships including the ‘Strauss & Katz World Congress Fund Scholarship’ & ‘Dr. Adarsh A. Kumar Annual Meeting Supplemental Scholarship’ from American Academy of Dermatology; and ‘Imrich Sarkany Non-European Memorial Scholarship’ and UCB Scholarship from the European Association of Dermatology & Venereology. With more than 100 publications in more than 25 Journals across the world, he is amongst the top young researchers in the field of Dermatology. In addition, he has co-authored several chapters in various textbooks. He has contributed the terms: ‘oculoscopy’, ‘hidroscopy’ and ‘intralesional drainage injection’ to the field of dermatology. Being a prolific and influential speaker, he has been an invited faculty at various conferences.
